Picklesburgh 2015 (Day 2)
Good evening, everyone! Tonight's blog post features a few more photos from the Picklesburgh event that was held these past two days. In yesterday's blog post, I focused more on the large, inflatable pickle hovering above the Rachel Carson / 9th Street Bridge. Tonight's photos show a different perspective; The sheer popularity of the event. As I mentioned yesterday, there was more to the event than just pickles. There were vendors selling other pickled foods and vegetables, as well as vendors showing how to pickle your own foods at home with DIY kits. My family and I ventured out again on day #2 and tried a few things. I was also surprised to see how quickly the shirts and other related items sold out! It was definitely hot and crowded, but the overall atmosphere was generally upbeat and positive. Hopefully the sponsors will bring the event back again next year.
