Good evening, everyone! If you follow me on Instagram (@dskwared412), then you've seen one of these photos already. Today and tomorrow only, an event known as Picklesburgh is being held on the Rachel Carson (9th Street) Bridge in downtown Pittsburgh. From what I understand, the event is about more than just pickles -- Vendors will be offering other kinds pickled foods, and exhibitors will be demonstrating canning as well as selling related canning products. In addition, there will be live music during the event as well. (It's kind of a big "dill" around here).
I was fortunate enough to grab a few photos earlier this morning, before the event had opened up to the vendors and the public. I stopped back again in the afternoon and the place was packed with people! As far as I know, admission to the event is free. Just walk on up! More information about Picklesburgh can be found here: http://www.picklesburgh.com and http://www.downtownpittsburgh.com/do/picklesburgh1.
On a side note, the photo I published to Instagram earlier today was featured on both the @SteelCityGrammers and @TheAmericanCollective_ Instagram pages! I'm so incredibly honored that my photo of an inflatable pickle became such an Instagram sensation today! As always, thanks for stopping by!
